SETUP BY PLATFORM
How we set up Webflow
Shopify
Webflow on Shopify (Buy Button/links): Design and build the marketing site in Webflow, connect it to the Shopify store, set up the CMS collections and hand over an editor your team can run.
Shopify store builds →Shopify Plus
On Shopify Plus (Buy Button/links): everything in Shopify, plus the Plus-only hooks (checkout extensions, B2B, Launchpad) where Webflow can use them.
Hydrogen
On a headless storefront (Hydrogen, Astro or Next.js) we connect Webflow through Links and own the event and data mapping ourselves.

Webflow with Shopify
Webflow runs many brand and content sites that sit next to a Shopify store, and Creative Labs is a Webflow Partner, so we see the combination often: Webflow for the marketing site and CMS, Shopify for the store and checkout.
The setup is a domain plan first — store on shop.brand.com or brand.com/shop, Webflow on the root — then shared navigation, a shared design system, Buy Buttons or product embeds where a Webflow page sells directly, and cross-domain GA4 so attribution survives the handoff. Webflow's CMS handles blog, press and lookbook content; Shopify handles anything with a price.
For service businesses and nonprofits we sometimes build the whole site in Webflow with a small Shopify store for merch or donations. For a true ecommerce brand, the reverse is usually better: Shopify for everything and Webflow only if the content team needs it. We help clients choose, and we have migrated both directions.
Should the store be on Webflow or Shopify?
For a true ecommerce brand, Shopify for everything is usually better, with Webflow only if the content team needs it. Webflow Ecommerce is limited, so keep the catalogue and checkout on Shopify. We help clients choose.
Can Webflow and Shopify share a domain?
Yes. We plan the domain first, for example the store on shop.brand.com or brand.com/shop with Webflow on the root. This is decided before the build for SEO, with cross-domain GA4 so attribution survives.
Do you migrate WordPress to Webflow?
We scope the content and URL migration when we plan the build. Webflow's CMS handles blog, press and lookbook content, so we map those collections and redirects before moving anything.
Who edits the Webflow site after launch?
Your team, in an editor we hand over after setting up the CMS collections. Large blogs can hit collection limits on lower plans, so we plan for that up front.
