What goes in it

One email a month, written by the people doing the work. Each issue has the same four parts, in the same order, so you can read the one you care about and delete the rest.

First, a CRO test we ran on a client store that month — what we changed, what moved, and what we would do differently. Second, an app we removed and why; most Shopify stores run ten to twenty apps and at least three of them are slowing the store down without earning their fee. Third, the one change in Shopify, Hydrogen, Klaviyo or Spoks that month that actually matters for a store owner, explained in a paragraph. Fourth, one number from a client store, with context.

There is no promotional issue and no launch sequence. If we have nothing worth saying in a given month, we skip it. Unsubscribing is one click and we do not ask why.

Back issues are published on the blog roughly six weeks after they are sent, so subscribers see the tests first.
