WORKING WITH US
6 questions
What does a Shopify agency actually do?
We design, build and grow Shopify and Shopify Plus stores: store builds and migrations, conversion and SEO work, email and SMS, and the automations that remove manual work. One senior team covers design, build and growth, and stays close after launch.
How much does a store build cost?
Store builds start at $10,000 and every project is fixed-scope and fixed-price, agreed before work starts. The pricing page lists every number, and the website cost calculator estimates yours.
How long does a build take?
A focused launch can ship in weeks; a Plus build or migration takes longer. We agree a fixed timeline up front and hold to it.
Do you work month to month?
Yes. Monthly plans are billed monthly, and you can pause for a month or cancel anytime. Projects are fixed-price, paid 50% to start and 50% at launch. See pricing.
Who owns the theme, the apps and the data?
You do. Theme code, custom apps, Figma files and documentation transfer to you, and everything is built in accounts and repositories you own. App subscriptions are in your name from day one.
Can you fix a store another agency built?
Yes. We start with the free store audit, then fix the store on a duplicate theme in your repo, so nothing breaks on the live store while the work moves.
PLATFORMS
5 questions
Shopify or Shopify Plus, which do we need?
Most brands start on Shopify; Plus makes sense for checkout customization, B2B, higher volume or multiple storefronts. We'll advise based on where you're headed.
Is headless (Hydrogen) worth it for us?
Usually not, at first. Most stores under $1M a year get more from a well-built theme; headless pays off for big catalogues, custom UX or content-heavy brands that need sub-second pages. See Hydrogen for when it makes sense.
Can you migrate us from WooCommerce, Magento or BigCommerce?
Yes — we migrate from WooCommerce, Magento / Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace and Wix, mapping URLs 1:1 so you keep your rankings.
Will we lose rankings in a migration?
Not if the redirects and on-page signals are done right. Every changed URL gets a one-to-one 301, and we track rankings, 404s and indexing daily against the pre-launch baseline.
Do you work with Shopify POS?
Yes. We set up Shopify POS with registers, card readers and staff per location, on one inventory shared with your website, and migrate from Lightspeed, Square, Clover and legacy systems. See Shopify POS.
GROWTH
5 questions
How fast will CRO show results?
Quick wins on the product page, cart and checkout can show up within a few weeks. Each change is measured over at least four weeks so seasonality and traffic swings don't mislead you. See CRO.
Do we have enough traffic to A/B test?
It depends on how many orders you get, not just visits. If a test would take months to reach a clear result, we make the change, measure it against the trend and move on, saving formal A/B tests for the pages with enough volume.
Spoks or Klaviyo?
Either can work. Spoks offers flat pricing; Klaviyo is the bigger platform with more integrations. We recommend one based on your list size, flows and budget. See email marketing.
What does AEO mean for a Shopify store?
Answer engine optimisation: making your store easy for AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews to find, read and cite. It builds on SEO with clear product data, structured content and pages that answer real questions. Try the SEO & AEO checker.
Do you run paid ads?
No. We don't run paid ads. We build and improve the store those ads send people to, and work alongside your ads agency or in-house team.
LOGISTICS
5 questions
Where is the team?
Across three studios: Forest, Virginia (our HQ), Lagos and Jaipur, working remotely together. Your point of contact is a senior in Virginia. See offices.
Do you work with stores outside the US?
Yes. We work with brands outside the US and set up Shopify Markets for selling across countries. Calls are scheduled to suit your time zone.
How do you handle time zones?
Your point of contact is in Virginia on Eastern Time, and reviews land in your working hours. With teams in Lagos and Jaipur, someone is working on your store for about 22 hours of every day.
What happens after launch?
Yes — CRO, SEO, email/SMS and store automations on a retainer, so the store keeps improving after launch.
How do we start?
Book a 30-minute intro call or send your store for a free audit. The audit lands within one business day, and a scoped proposal with one price follows within three. Contact us.
01
Before you ask
The questions below are the ones every prospective client asks on the intro call. The short answers are here so the call can be about your store rather than about us.
On pricing: every project is fixed-scope and fixed-price. Store builds start at $10,000, platform migrations from $2,500, brand identity sprints at $4,200 and monthly retainers at $2,000 for SEO or CRO and $5,000 for combined design and development. Hourly work exists only as a 25-hour pack at $3,000. The pricing page lists every number; the website cost calculator estimates yours.
On timing: a theme-based store build typically launches in six to ten weeks, a migration in eight to twelve, a CRO or speed sprint in four. The intro call is 30 minutes, the free audit lands within one business day, and a scoped proposal with one price follows within three.
On how we work: remote-first across Forest, Virginia, Lagos and Jaipur, which means someone is on your store for about 22 hours of every day. Your point of contact is a senior in Virginia; reviews land in your working hours; nothing goes live without your yes. Everything we build sits in accounts and repositories you own.
On what we do not do: we do not run paid ads, we do not build on platforms we have not listed, and we do not take retainers for stores we have not audited first.
You've reached the end, so now…
Tell us what you're selling.
Send us your store. Within one business day you get a short Loom from a senior: the three things we'd fix first, what it would cost, and whether we're the right team for it.
- No pitch deck, no discovery-call theatre
- You keep the audit whether or not you hire us
- Fixed-scope quotes, no hourly surprises
